Record group 79-64 consists of two sets of records from the Michigan Natural Resources Commission. The first set of records are Commission meeting minutes (1974), which consists of the agendas, memoranda, minutes, staff reports, public statements, magnetic tapes and transcripts from monthly meetings. Controversies center upon fishing regulations, nuclear facilities, deer and bear conservation, watershed projects, and the proposed Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Wilderness Area. The second set of records are of town hall meetings (1974), which consist of general information, agenda, briefing materials for the Commissioners, minutes, and follow-up responses relating to town hall meetings of the Commission.
